Founded by Seungsu (Sam) Kim, Studio Seung is rooted in both design excellence and practical execution. Sam Kim studied at the University of Seoul (B.S. in Sculpture) and the Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture in New York City (M.Arch). His education was shaped by leading architects including Andrew Zago, Eric Höweler, Craig Dykers, Billie Tsien, Merrill Elam, and Kenneth Frampton, culminating in a First Award for Excellence in Design.

With over a decade of experience in high-end residential work at prominent New York firms—including Zago Architecture, McKean Architecture, and Pembrooke & Ives—Studio Seung was established in downtown Lafayette, Indiana.

We operate as a fully integrated design-build practice, working closely with clients to align design vision with budget, construction, and long-term value. Our work is grounded in clarity and purpose—modern yet restrained, innovative yet practical—resulting in architecture that is enduring, meaningful, and environmentally responsible.
